Abridged curriculum vitae Prof Michael Sathekge is a Professor and Head of Department of Nuclear Medicine at the University of Pretoria and Steve Biko Academic Hospital. He is one of the Editors in Chief of the Seminars of Nuclear Medicine Journal, an Editor for the Image of the Month for European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, and an associate Editor of The World Journal of Nuclear Medicine. Prof Sathekge is also a Chairman and Director of Nuclear Medicine Research Infrastructure. He is President-Elect of the World Association of Radiopharmaceuticals and Molecular Therapy. His past experience includes being a former Chairman of the Medical Research Council Board. Prof Sathekge is a former President of the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa, former President of International Society of Radiolabeled Blood Elements, and former Chairman of Technical & Investment Committee: Board of Nuclear Technology Products.
