Required Learning:
N3 – N6 Mechanical Trade TheoryQualified Fitter and Turner
Must be able to work shifts, overtime and be on standby when required
Three to five years work experience as qualified fitter and turner of which two years should be mechanical FMCG packaging machine maintenance.
Maintenance experience on liquid fillers, cappers, label and carton machines with associated computerized inspection systems
Maintenance experience on Automatic Form-Fill and Seal Sachet machines with various line equipment
Must be familiar with various types of packaging machines and related equipment.
Work experience in GMP Pharmaceutical Manufacturing will take preference.
Key Outputs :
Monitors daily downtime and institute corrective action plans to prevent recurrences of breakdowns.To perform root cause analysis to address asset performance problems and/or reduce cost.
To continuously evaluate mechanical equipment’s and initiate improvement actions in order to achieve asset performance targets;
Implements continuous improvement on all Packaging equipment in the HVL packaging.
To assist in commissioning of modifications/projects.
To ensure proper documentation of changes/modifications and perform internal audits.
Fault finding and repair of all mechanical equipment’s.
Ensure availability of spares for all Mechanical equipment’s in the packaging machines assigned to.
To accurately and timeously report process equipment safety or deviations to stakeholders to meet/improve equipment availability and reliability targets.
Use conventional Lathe and Milling machine for general maintenance machining of machine parts
Ability to do small fabrication jobs using electrical hand tools
