Required Learning:

  • Qualified CA (SA)
  • Minimum 5 years’ financial management experience at a senior management level
  • Knowledge of Oracle finance modules will be an advantage
  • Working knowledge and experience within the Pharmaceutical environment will be an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years’ transport plus courier experience is essential
  • Legal and Statutory requirements for registered PTY’s is essential
  • Merger and acquisition experience is essential

Key Outputs :

  • Demonstrate commercial acumen in areas of improving business performance at a strategic and practical level as opposed to simply reporting numbers, constantly scanning for business and cost/income improvement opportunities. Supporting the MD with growth and sustainability strategies.
  • Oversee the reporting process for the business unit, ensuring efficient timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, interim and annual financial reports including monitoring actual performance against budgets, identifying and investigating variances.
  • Prepare various finance reports for Board meetings, including detailed monthly commentary for MD report
  • Other ad-hoc reports and models prepared as required to support the business in terms of the supply of financial information for decision making as well as business development.
  • Prepare detailed annual budget.
  • Prepare and manage financial year-end audit.
  • Oversee Stock Management processes for the division to ensure optimal working capital maintained.
  • Capex Management / Fixed asset Management
Monitoring adherence and adequacy of internal control systems including but not limited to policies and procedures to prevent / detect material errors and prevent and detect theft and fraud in the business unit & systems to ensure safeguarding of the business assets.
